Gifts in Wills and Donations in Memory

A memorial gift is a very special way of commemorating the life of a loved one whilst supporting a place and a cause that was important to them. Legacies and memorial gifts are vital in enabling us to do so much to look after over half the Isles of Scilly, ensuring that our isles are kept special for future generations.

Your impact

Every year, the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust looks after over half the islands, to help wildlife thrive. We focus on a handful of priority species that are in particular need of our help locally, but our conservation work benefits a whole host of wildlife. We cut 85km (50 miles) of paths annually around the archipelago, including some of the uninhabited islands like Samson, so that residents and visitors can explore our beautiful landscapes safely. We are also responsible for preserving over 100 Scheduled Monuments, clearing away vegetation and looking after our local archaeological sites.

By giving to us, whether that's regularly as a member, adopting a species or making a donation, you are helping protect Scilly's unique wildlife, preserve our unspoilt landscapes and enabling people to access nature. Thousands of people visit our islands every year, and it's imperative that we minimise the impact of people on our fragile islands. We work to make our island wildlife more resilient to climate change, monitoring species and carrying out targeted conservation work. Your help and support makes that possible.

Supporting us around the islands

Thanks to the Goodgrowth fund, in 2023 we were able to install QR codes and donation points around the islands to enable visitors to donate to us simply, securely and whilst on the move. You can tap to donate at Penzance and Tresco heliports, St Mary's and Land's End airports, in St Mary's quay waiting room, at the Tourist Information Centre and if you pop into our office at Trenoweth. There are also QR codes on many signs and our big red truck - just scan to make a donation and support us!
