Local Nature Recovery Strategy for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly
Local Nature Recovery
In partnership with the Council of the Isles of Scilly and the Local Nature Partnership, Cornwall Council is creating a new Local Nature Recovery Strategy for the region. This strategy will be pivotal in helping nature recover and flourish across the region. When finished, it will guide what, where and how to restore nature across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This is an amazing opportunity to see nature thrive on our islands and beyond. Whether you live on Scilly, manage land or a farm, run a business, are a seasonal worker or go to school here, we need your input to shape this strategy.
Over the next 12 months, the strategy will be shaped with support from a variety of groups including our farming community, businesses, local communities and environmental organisations.
Everyone can have a role in helping to shape the Local Nature Recovery Strategy. We want to ensure that we are listening to the views of as many of you as possible as we develop a road map towards our ambition for 30% of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly being well-managed for nature by 2030.
The best way to get involved is by completing the survey and interactive map. You can help us identify the areas that you think need protecting and restoring, potential projects, groups to work with and how we bring about nature recovery across the region.
